Calling all fair-goers..


Fall is upon us, and that means it's time for fairs and festivals! Connecticut has a wide variety of fairs to choose from, so there's sure to be one that's perfect for you.

From the oldest continuously active agricultural fair in the United States to a traditional country fair with pig races and thrill rides, there's something for everyone.

Here are many of the fairs you won't want to miss:

  • Hebron Harvest Fair (September 7-10, 2023): This fair is a great place to experience the best of Connecticut agriculture. Enjoy livestock shows, midway rides, exhibits, a small-animal barn, arts and crafts, food booths, and continuous stage entertainment. https://www.hebronharvestfair.org/

Here are some additional tips for making the most of your fair experience:

  • Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking!

  • Bring sunscreen and a hat. It can get hot at the fair.

  • Bring cash for food and games.

  • Be prepared to wait in line. The fair can get crowded, especially on weekends.

  • Have fun! The fair is a great place to let loose and enjoy yourself.
