Connecticut's fall fair calendar just keeps growing, and the 2026 lineup is the fullest one yet. Between agricultural fairs that have been running since the 1800s and newer harvest festivals popping up in towns across the state, there's genuinely something happening nearly every weekend from late summer clear through the holdays.
This year's guide covers more ground than ever: over 30 fairs and festivals from one end of the state to the other, from oxen pulls in the Litchfield Hills to oyster festivals on the shoreline to a Renaissance faire that runs eight weekends straight. BRIDGEWATER COUNTRY FAIR, BRIDGEWATER (August 21st - 23rd)

HAMBURG FAIR, LYME (August 21st - 23rd)

BROOKLYN FAIR, BROOKLYN (August 27th - 30th)

CHESTER FAIR, CHESTER (August 28th - 30th)

TERRYVILLE LIONS COUNTRY FAIR, TERRYVILLE (August 28th - 30th)

CONNECTICUT RENAISSANCE FAIRE, LEBANON (August 29th - October 25th, Saturdays & Sundays plus Labor Day & Columbus Day)

A holiday event featuring a forest of decorated trees, high-end raffle prizes, a boutique, and a crafts fair. TIPS FOR MAKING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FAIR-GOING EXPERIENCE(S):
Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be doing a lot of walking!
Check for parking details ahead of arrival based on the specific fair
Bring sunscreen and a hat. It can get hot at the fair, even in the fall.
Bring cash for food and games.
Be prepared to wait in line. The fair can get crowded, especially on weekends. But it's always worth the wait!
